TO JOIN POPLAR ESTATES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
1) INFORMATION: Keep informed on what is happening nearby that can affect the value of your home (neighboring developments, local schools, updates on neighborhood crime, park updates, street changes, zoning changes, etc)
2) NEIGHBORHOOD ENHANCEMENTS: Beautiful landscaped front gate entrance from Poplar, front gate holiday displays, holiday lighting contest, yard of the month recognition, and decorative street signs throughout the entire neighborhood.
3) CONTACT WITH CITY GOVERNMENT: Your Association is a well known and respected
voice in our City. We have numerous members on Commissions. We are an active part of the Council of Neighborhood Associations and we have a government representative who keeps us informed on happenings in City Government.
4) KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS: we publish a membership directory (available only to members) of those who wish to listed, publish five (5) newsletters each year, offer an email hotline for up to moment information on concerns of residents, maintain an outstanding website with a craftsman’s guide, and last but not least, five (5) parties per year which offer fun, food, information and an opportunity for you to get to know your neighbors.
5) FOR MEMBERSHIP DUES OF $25.00: you receive an email hotline, regular newsletters, five membership socials, a voice with local government, opportunities to get to know your neighbors, a well designed and well maintained front entrance, contests to beautify our neighborhoods and a respected organization to represent you.
To be included, Member must be paid-up by FEB each year
***MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY LAST CALL!! To have your name included in the published neighborhood directory, we must receive your membership dues of $25.00 by February. Our goal is to have the directory published and in the homes of our membership by April 1.
PEHA WINS AWARD
At the 2011 Neighborhood Summit presented by Neighborhood Preservation Commission, Poplar Estates Homeowners Association won the award for Most Effective Neighborhood Communication. The qualifications for this reward are to reach the maximum number of homeowners, be consistent, organized, effective, and include two or more of the following for consideration: newsletter, telephone network, door-to-door notification, brochures, website, email, blog.
The Poplar Estates Homeowners Association sponsored the Annual Holiday Lighting Contest on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 13th and 14th.

(The Snowmen and Santa were made by Jan for her Mother in the early 1950’s. They have been on display each Christmas for many generations to enjoy! Thanks for sharing with Poplar Estates!)
